SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Several people were injured in a crash that blocked part of California Street in San Francisco’s Inner Richmond neighborhood Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. between Eighth and Ninth avenues, a fire dispatcher said.

An employee at the Village Market at California Street and Eighth Avenue said one of the vehicles involved is a Recology garbage truck.

A San Francisco fire official said four people had moderate to severe injuries as a result of the crash. The driver of the truck was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.
