MARTINEZ (CBS 5) — Shortly after noon Thursday, California Highway Patrol officers came upon the scene of a person shot inside a minivan on the on-ramp to Interstate Highway 680 northbound from Pacheco Blvd.

The shooting victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, but there was no immediate word on the person’s condition.

According to police scanner traffic, “the (shooting) suspect fled into the neighborhood below the sound wall.”

Alameda County Sheriff’s deputies and CHP officers utilized police dogs to search the neighborhood, but the gunman apparently remained at large.

No other details were immediately available.

This takes the cake. I shoot video of this attempted car-jack, offer it to CBS 5. Instead they take this still picture I send them to show where it is, do not buy my video, and I get nothing. So I just do all their leg- work for nothing. What’s this world coming to?. Hey, at least I got a photo credit!. I provide to CLAYCORD for no fee.
