One Killed, 2 Injured On Richmond Parkway In Possible Hit-And-Run

RICHMOND (CBS SF) -- A fatal collision in Richmond that killed one and left two others in serious condition may have been caused by a hit-and-run, police said.

Richmond police Lt. Bisa French said that two vehicles were traveling east on the Richmond Parkway at 1:15 a.m. Sunday when both spun out and crashed.

One of the cars went into the opposite side of the road and the other went into a ditch, French said.

Three people were traveling in the car that crashed into the ditch. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and the two others were airlifted to a local hospital.

The other vehicle called the accident in, French said, and reported that a third car had clipped both cars, causing the accident.

French said police are still investigating the cause of the collision, and police are seeking to interview the two people who were hospitalized.
