Solano County Election Results Still Being Counted

SOLANO (KCBS)— Elections workers will be burning in the midnight oil for the next several days according to Solano County's Assistant Registrar.

Lindsay Williams said there are still somewhere between 900 and a thousand provisional ballots still to be counted.

"We have somewhere over 400 defective ballots that have to be duplicated," Williams said in addition to the provisionals.

KCBS' Dave Padilla Reports:

Williams said his most experienced employees will have the task of certifying votes and that work could last through Thanksgiving week.

"Every race is affected to one degree or the other. Until we get the last provisional counted, we really don't know much of anything," Williams added.

Vallejo voters are still waiting on official results from Measure B that calls for a sales-tax increase that would generate almost $10 million annually for the city that just emerged from bankruptcy.
