Oakland Teen Arrested For Armed Carjackings

OAKLAND (CBS / AP) -- San Leandro police have arrested a 14-year-old Oakland boy in connection with four armed carjackings.

Police Sgt. Mike Sobek told The Daily Review of Hayward that the unidentified teen was arrested Saturday at a home in East Oakland.

He is being held at Alameda County Juvenile Hall in San Leandro.

Police said that on Nov. 12, the boy and an accomplice used an automatic pistol to rob a first car, and then four hours later struck again in the parking lot of Bayfair Center, near a Macy's department store.

On Wednesday police said the pair stole another vehicle at gunpoint near a BART station, and did the same again on Thursday.

Police are still looking for a 15-year-old that they believe is the accomplice.
