Man Wounded In Emeryville Shooting

EMERYVILLE (CBS SF) -- A man found shot in his back in Emeryville Friday night is in stable condition Saturday, police said.

Emeryville police responded to the 1000 block of 48th Street at 10:12 p.m. on reports that shots had been fired in the area.

Police said they found a man down with a gunshot wound to the back when they arrived at the scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was reported to be in stable condition early Saturday morning.

Police have not made any arrests, and are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Emeryville police at (510) 596-3700.
