Police Arrest Suspect In Walnut Creek Death
WALNUT CREEK (CBS SF / AP) -- Authorities have made another arrest in the killing of a man in Walnut Creek after arresting and releasing two other men in the case.
Police say 22-year-old Concord resident Mike Miller turned himself in on Thursday at Walnut Creek police headquarters. He was booked on suspicion of murder in the death of 48-year-old Jeffrey Mead Patterson.
Patterson's body was found on Monday at the home of 48-year-old Shannon Mitchell Alexander. An autopsy revealed he had blunt-force injuries.
Alexander was arrested on suspicion of murder before being released. A second man, Frank Castro, was then arrested before he, too, was released.
Contra Costa Sheriff's deputies say investigators have now determined that Patterson's death took place at another home, not the home where he was found.
