Fleeing Suspect Shot By Police Near Richmond Hotel

RICHMOND (CBS SF) – A man was injured in an officer-involved shooting at a Richmond hotel Wednesday afternoon, a police lieutenant said.

Police received a report of a man with a gun at the Extended Stay America hotel at 3170 Garrity Way, near the Hilltop Mall, around 2 p.m., Richmond police Lt. Bisa French said.

The man fled to the Courtyard Marriott hotel at 3150 Garrity Way.

At some point, responding officers fired at least one shot and wounded the suspect, French said.

He was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.

No further details were immediately available.
