SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – It was an especially merry Christmas for many residents in the South Bay who got a special present – in the form of mail.
Many residents were surprised to see Santa show up at their door and deliver their mail directly to their front door.
Mail carrier Shirley White said it’s a unique working day.
KCBS’ Betsy Gebhart Reports:
“They love it. They all love it,” she said. “I get salutes and everything, candy.”
Most metro areas in the United States only delivered Express Mail on Christmas Day.
Post offices around the country are closed on December 26 in observance of the Christmas holidays.
