BAY POINT (CBS SF) – A 22-year-old man was murdered in Bay Point on Monday night.

A resident of the first block of Ambrose Avenue called authorities at about 9:45 p.m. to report a wounded person there, sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

Emergency responders pronounced the victim, Maurice Murray, dead at the home.

Lee said he could not yet disclose the nature of the wound but said an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

Lee said detectives are treating the case as a homicide. So far, they have not determined a suspect in the apparent slaying.
