BOULDER, Colo. (CBS / AP) — Layshia Clarendon had 18 points and eight rebounds, and Gennifer Brandon had 17 points and eight rebounds as California defeated Colorado 68-55 Thursday night.
The Golden Bears (12-5, 3-2 Pac-12) trailed 51-39 with 12:45 left, but roared back and finished the game on a 29-4 run. They outscored the Buffaloes (13-2, 2-2) 38-18 in the second half and held the hosts without a field goal in the last 7 minutes.
Chucky Jeffery had 21 points to lead all scorers for Colorado, which has lost two of its last three after a 12-0 start. Jeffery had 12 of the Buffaloes’ 18 second-half points.
Brittany Boyd had 12 points and four steals for Cal. Rachel Hargis scored 10 points for Colorado.
