Fanatical New Parents Win Tickets To 49ers Playoff Game

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) - Some very loyal 49er fans won coveted tickets to this weekend's NFC Championship game at Candlestick Park thanks to the generosity of team president Jed York and a compelling personal story.

"We were watching it while I was giving labor," said Michele Cava, referring to the team's stirring win over New Orleans last Saturday. "I was in so much pain that it was a good focal point for me. So it was awesome."

Michele and her husband Vince were supposed to be at last weekend's game but the labor took an unexpected step forward.

"(We had) great seats. I had lower reserved seats and it just so happened that Michele came home from the doctors…and said things are picking up," recalled Vince.

Their son Vincenzo Giovanni came into the world to cheers over a big playoff win. When the couple heard that York was giving away tickets over Twitter to the person with the most compelling story, they submitted their birth experience.

"I encouraged him to tweet," said Michele.

Vince sent the following text:

"My first child was born during Sat's game, The Dr. let us watch the game during labor."

York announced that the couple had won yesterday. Their prize is four tickets to this weekend's game against the New York Giants. Michelle has decided to stay home with Vinchenzo.

Vince said that, as a new dad, this may be his last game for a while.
