Newborn Taken By Father Returned To Castro Valley Hospital

CASTRO VALLEY (CBS SF) – A newborn baby who was taken from Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley by her father Friday afternoon was returned safe Friday night.

18-year-old Seagram Miller took his two-day-old baby Sa’riah Miller around 1 p.m., before the baby was medically cleared by a pediatrician, hospital officials said.

Hospital officials said the baby’s mother and father were waiting for the pediatrician when the mother stepped away and the father left with the newborn.

KCBS’ Mark Seelig Reports:

The baby was returned Friday night and sheriff’s officials said everyone was healthy and safe. No arrests were made.

Earlier on Friday, sheriff’s officials said that were not handling this situation as an infant abduction.

Maybe no crime, but this was sure as hell suspicious – it takes a lot more than being a sperm donor to really be a father. This little 18-year-old looks like a jerk and it’s quite obvious that this baby WAS ENDANGERED as she was being breast fed and the ‘father’ didn’t have anything to feed her.

Probably just a matter of time until we read about another incident involving this baby and Seagram (like the whiskey) Miller…..

Sounds like this 18 year old father has a mental problem, alcohol problem, or is it a cultural thing ? Hope someone from Child Protective Services checks the situation out and hopefully the baby will not become a future coroner’s case…
