Reality Stars 'Mo & Kita' Visit Bay Sunday To Promote SF State Event

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) - Two stars from NFL player Terrell Owens' reality TV show appeared on CBS 5's Bay Sunday to promote an upcoming minority empowerment event in San Francisco.

Monique Jackson and Kita Williams, better known as Mo and Kita on The T.O. Show, spoke with Bay Sunday host Frank Mallicoat about their panel "Define Your Pretty: Building Self-Esteem and Self-Worth in Young Women." The panel is among those featured at the United Negro College Fund Empower Me 2012 Tour at San Francisco State University on Saturday.

Jackson and Williams are also founders of Team Image PR, a public relations firm used by Owens and other professional athletes.

The 4th annual tour is geared for the college-bound student and will " . . .inspire and empower you to take control of your academic, personal, and professional destiny," said Jackson.

"The Empower Me Tour is there to educate young people about college … and getting through college," said Williams.

In addition to Mo and Kita's panel, other celebrities participating include Brian White, Jeff Johnson, Toya, and Kenny Latimore. The event will also feature corporate executives, young entrepreneurs, and community leaders, as well as live performances and celebrity DJ's..

Other workshops include: "Getting the Most Out of Your College Experience," "Planning and Saving for College," and "Networking: How to Develop Your 30-Second Speech."
