NAPA (CBS SF) – A woman lost a fortune in antiques Tuesday night after fire ripped through her home near Napa, according to fire officials.

Fire crews responded at 9:34 p.m. to a fire at a two-story home in the 3100 block of Redwood Drive, just outside Napa city limits, Cal Fire-Napa County fire Capt. Jeremy Lawson said.

Crews from the city of Napa’s fire department also responded.

Lawson said both fire agencies were involved since it was initially unclear in whose jurisdiction the house was located.

The resident runs an antique store in town, and had a number of antiques inside her home as well, said fire officials.

Arriving firefighters found the attic space on the second floor on fire, Lawson said. The fire eventually burned off the roof.

Firefighters were able to take full command of the fire just after midnight Wednesday morning.

A fire alarm woke the woman but she was not able to retrieve any of her antiques, fire officials said.

Preliminary estimates pegged the losses at about $100,000. Total damage including the building was estimated at least $300,000, a fire captain said.

Crews were going through the house Wednesday morning salvaging personal belongings that survived the blaze, Lawson said.

The cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
