Former Bay Area Twin Entertainers Found Dead In South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (CBS SF) - El Dorado County sheriff's deputies are tying to locate the next of kin of twin sisters who used to be Bay Area entertainers who were found dead at their South Lake Tahoe home last week.

Sheriff's deputies have released the twins' names to the public to help locate relatives.

The deaths of Patricia and Joan Miller, 74, are still under investigation, however foul play has been ruled out, according to the sheriff's office.

Detectives have collected information from the sisters' long-time friends and acquaintances and have learned that the twins were Bay Area entertainers during the 1950s who regularly appeared on a weekly television show called, "The Hoffman Hayride" and entertained troops at several military bases.

Originally from Portland, Ore., the sisters never married and were dependent on one another throughout their lives, detectives said.

Anyone with information regarding Patricia and Joan Miller has been asked to contact Detective Matt Harwood at (530) 573-3015.
