Additional Charges Filed In San Francisco Fake Doctor Case

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF/AP) -- A man accused of posing as a doctor in San Francisco is facing additional charges after prosecutors said more women have come forward claiming he performed cosmetic surgery on them.

Forty-nine-year-old Carlos Guzmangarza was arraigned on the additional charges on Thursday. He is accused of practicing medicine without a license, assault and battery in connection with facelifts, liposuction and other cosmetic procedures he allegedly performed on seven women.

Prosecutors said Guzmangarza operated out of a clinic in the city's Mission District using the stolen identity of a physician's assistant.

One of the women claims he smoked a cigar while performing liposuction on her. Another accuses him of touching her inappropriately.

Guzmangarza has so far pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from the liposuction case and his alleged treatment of that woman's daughter.
