Head-On Crash Shuts Highway 1 At Devil’s Slide

PACIFICA (CBS SF) – Highway 1 at Devil’s Slide has reopened after a head-on collision blocked traffic Wednesday afternoon, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The minor- to moderate-injury collision involving at least two vehicles was reported around 4:40 p.m., CHP Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said.

Two people were taken to a hospital for complaints of pain and a facial laceration, Van Eckhardt said.

The roadway was reopened by 6:10 p.m.
