Woman Robbed Of Purse While Sitting In Car At SF Fisherman’s Wharf

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A woman was robbed of her purse while sitting in a car at San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf early Tuesday morning, police said.

The robbery was reported around 12:45 a.m. in the 200 block of Jefferson Street.

The 55-year-old victim was sitting in the passenger seat of a car when a suspect approached, reached inside the open window of the car and pressed a sharp object against her side, according to police.

The suspect, described as a man in his early to mid-30s, then took the purse off of the victim’s lap and ran away, police said.

The woman was not injured, and the suspect remains at large.

    If they rob someone who is packing and then try to run away, they might receive a painful and possibly fatal reminder that they cannot outrun a bullet that has their name on it.
