Woman Robbed Of Purse While Sitting In Car At SF Fisherman's Wharf

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A woman was robbed of her purse while sitting in a car at San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf early Tuesday morning, police said.

The robbery was reported around 12:45 a.m. in the 200 block of Jefferson Street.

The 55-year-old victim was sitting in the passenger seat of a car when a suspect approached, reached inside the open window of the car and pressed a sharp object against her side, according to police.

The suspect, described as a man in his early to mid-30s, then took the purse off of the victim's lap and ran away, police said.

The woman was not injured, and the suspect remains at large.
