Two People Killed In Brentwood Shooting

BRENTWOOD (KCBS) – Two people were killed following a shooting at a Brentwood home on Wednesday afternoon.

Brentwood police Lt. Tom Hansen said officers received a call about a shooting at a home on Finn Way shortly before 3 p.m.

"Our officers responded and made entry into a residence and found an adult male and adult female suffering from multiple gunshots," said Hansen. "Emergency personnel rendered aid and both subjects were pronounced dead at the scene."

Hansen said police remained on the scene Wednesday and are investigating the shootings as a possible murder-suicide.

KCBS' Bob Melrose Reports:

Hansen said that while the deaths may have been a murder-suicide, police are officially investigating the case as a double homicide, although at this time they do not believe anyone else was involved.

"We're not ruling anything out," he said.

Hansen said the shooting was reported by a female teenager who lives at the home.

Police were still trying to confirm the relationship between the three residents as of Wednesday afternoon, Hansen said.
