Bishop O'Dowd Wins 1st Girls' Division III Title; Beats Laguna Hills 62-24

SACRAMENTO (CBS/AP) -- K.C. Waters had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead Bishop O'Dowd of Oakland past Laguna Hills, 62-24, in the California girls' Division III title game Saturday.

Freshman Aisia Robertson scored 13 points for the Dragons (30-3), who dominated the game from the opening tip and played everyone on the roster for at least six minutes. Bishop O'Dowd should not drop off next year, either, as only one starter was a senior.

Celia Marfone led Laguna Hills (26-9) with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Maddy Ziering-Smith added 10 points. The Hawks had 26 turnovers, made only seven baskets and shot just 18 percent from the field.

The title was the first for the Bishop O'Dowd girls.
