SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – Well-known author, cook and cooking instructor Judy Zeidler takes her readers through her decades of experience in Italy with her latest book, "Italy Cooks: 35 Years of Italian Culinary Adventure in Pictures."

KCBS Food and Wine Editor Narsai David said the book serves as a personal travelogue of sorts through Italy. Zeidler and her husband Marvin travel to Italy for months at a time each year, a country she has adopted as her own.

KCBS Food and Wine Editor Narsai David:

"Italy Cooks" is a guide, village to village and region to region, including recipes that showcase the cuisines of each part of the country.

In her travels, Zeidler and her husband spend much of their time visiting restaurants and food and wine purveyors, all while gaining inspiration for new recipes. The book features more than 150 recipes, all kosher.

Zeidler has written several other highly acclaimed books, including "The Gourmet Jewish Cook," "Judy Zeidler's International Deli Cookbook" and "The 30-Minute Kosher Cook."

She and her husband are also the founders of California restaurants Capo and Cora's, both in Santa Monica, Brentwood Restaurant in Brentwood and Los Angeles restaurants Citrus and The Broadway Deli. She also serves as a consultant for Zeidler's Café in Los Angeles and is a regular contributor to "The Jewish Journal" and "Tribe" magazines.

"Italy Cooks: 35 Years of Italian Culinary Adventure in Pictures" by Judy Zeidler is published by Mostarda Press.
