4 Arrested In Sonoma County Child Porn Raids

SANTA ROSA (CBS/AP) - Four Sonoma County residents were arrested Thursday on suspicion of possession or distribution of child pornography during a sting operation by 58 law enforcement officers from 11 agencies, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities obtained six search warrants and served three in Santa Rosa and one in Sebastopol, sheriff's Lt. Dennis O'Leary said.

Investigators proactively searched the Internet for people downloading and distributing child porn, O'Leary said. Search warrants were sent to Internet service providers that subsequently provided the addresses and subscriber information connected to the downloaded pornography, O'Leary said.

Investigators did not locate any victims of sexual abuse at the residences, O'Leary said.

Investigators arrested Tyson DeCarlo, 35, of Sebastopol, and Joshua Conway, 26, Daniel Martinez, 27, and Hunter Odom, 21, all of Santa Rosa. They were booked under $10,000 bail in the Sonoma County jail for possession or distribution of child pornography.

Participating in the enforcement operation were police from Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Cloverdale, Rohnert Park, Pleasant Hill, San Jose and Brentwood; the Alameda County Sheriff's Office; Department of Homeland Security; FBI; the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force; and the Sonoma County District Attorney's Office.
