Daly City House Fire Displaces 2, No Injuries

DALY CITY (CBS SF) -- A one-alarm fire at a Daly City home Friday night displaced two people from their home, according to the North County Fire Authority.

Firefighters responded to the home in the 200 block of Station Street after receiving a report of a fire about 7:30 p.m.

The first arriving members observed the fire burning in the garage of the two-story single-family home, where all people who had been inside safely evacuated the building.

Firefighters fought the blaze from inside the home using a hose line and quickly located and extinguished the fire, which was contained to the garage and a back bedroom, according to the fire authority.

Fire crews remained on scene for about three hours to overhaul the extinguished fire.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The American Red Cross was providing assistance to the two people displaced from the home.
