Small Earthquake Rattles Walnut Creek Area
WALNUT CREEK (CBS SF) - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.4 shook the Walnut Creek area Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor was recorded at 8:48 a.m. about 2 miles east-northeast of Walnut Creek, according to the USGS.
The quake had a depth of about 3.1 miles, according to the USGS.
