3 People Found Shot In Separate East Oakland Locations

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - Three people were found shot and wounded in East Oakland on Monday night, an Oakland police officer said.

The three victims were found in two separate locations, but police believe they may have been shot in the same incident, Officer Kevin McDonald said.

The first two victims were found when police responded to reports of gunshots near the corner of 98th Avenue and Holly Street at 11:05 p.m., McDonald said.

Minutes later, a third victim was found in a car up 98th Avenue near Thermal Street, about 10 blocks away.

None of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries, McDonald said, and all are currently in stable condition.

Police believe that the injuries may be related. "It seems like they are, but we haven't confirmed that yet," McDonald said.

At least one of those injured was being called an innocent bystander, according to witnesses.
