Mill Valley Emergency Road Work Expected To Affect Traffic

MILL VALLEY (CBS SF) -- Caltrans crews are expected to continue emergency repairs on a section of state Highway 1 near Mill Valley Monday.

One-way traffic control is expected be in place throughout the week on Highway 1 between Panoramic Highway and West California Drive, according to Caltrans.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to the coast, such as Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Crews are replacing drainage guardrails, constructing a retaining wall and repaving the roadway.

Caltrans expects to be able to open the roadway for two-way traffic on the weekend, though one-way traffic will be back in place on May 21.

The emergency road work is expected to be complete by Memorial Day weekend.
