1 Shot, Another Pistol-Whipped In Oakland Home Invasion Robbery

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - One man was hospitalized in an Oakland shooting and another was pistol-whipped in a home invasion robbery Thursday night, police said.

The shooting victim was in the 5800 block of Avenal Avenue when an unknown suspect shot him at 11:37 p.m., police said.

He was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

Another man was hospitalized earlier in the evening following a home invasion robbery in the 1000 block of 65th Street at 9:45 p.m.

Three armed suspects entered the house to rob the man, and one of them pistol-whipped him. The man was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries.

Another man was shot at in the 2800 block of Abby Street at 5:53 p.m., but was not injured.

Two male suspects shot at the man numerous times but missed him, police said.

No suspects were in custody in connection with any of the cases as of  Friday morning, according to police.
