SAN RAMON (CBS 5) – The owner of a San Ramon jewelry store gunned foiled an attempted robbery by fatally shooting one of the robbers at his store Wednesday afternoon.
According to witnesses, four armed men attempted to rob the Gold N Treasures store on San Ramon Valley Blvd. around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses said the owner pulled out a gun and shot one of the gunmen. But police have not confirmed who fired the gun.
The wounded man left the store and collapsed on a busy San Ramon Valley Blvd. Police said the man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
A search was underway for the three remaining gunmen. Authorities said the men possibly drove in a white 1990s four-door car.
