Man Arrested In San Jose Assault After Surveillance Photos Released

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - Police arrested a man on Wednesday in connection with an assault in a San Jose restaurant last month that left the victim unconscious, police said.

Kevin Dixson, 30, of San Jose was arrested on suspicion of a May 6 assault at a restaurant in the 5000 block of Almaden Expressway. n Jose was arrested on suspicion of a May 6 assault at a restaurant in the 5000 block of Almaden Expressway.

Dixson is suspected of attacking a Salinas man unprovoked at the restaurant at around 2:30 a.m.

No weapons were used in the attack, but the victim was left unconscious and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Dixson, a delivery driver, was arrested at his workplace at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police identified Dixson after receiving several tips identifying him based on photos of the suspect in the attack released by police.

He was booked into jail on suspicion of felony battery and probation violation.
