LAFAYETTE (CBS 5) — Several arrests were made during a police raid of two massage parlors in a quiet Lafayette neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Lafayette Police Department, the raids occurred at the Body and Sole massage parlor and the Classical Music Massage Center, both located on the 3300 block of Mount Diablo Boulevard.

The raids stemmed from numerous complaints from residents and an investigation last month into allegations of sexual activity at the massage parlors.

On Wednesday afternoon, Lafayette police officers, along with detectives from the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office served warrants on the massage parlors. Police said they had to force entry.

During the raid, police said they found evidence of sexual activity. Authorities recovered condoms, business records, money and customer lists.

Police arrested 44-year-old Li Liu of San Ramon and 41-year-old Xiao Chen of Concord on suspicion of prostitution. 25-year-old Yang (Jason) Chen of Pleasant Hill was arrested on suspicion of pimping and conspiracy. Two women were released after being interviewed.

Anyone with information connected to the case is asked to call the Lafayette Police Department at (925) 283-3680.
