3 Dead, 3 Hurt In 3 Days Of Gun Violence In Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – Guns violence has claimed the lives of 3 people in as many days, in Oakland. Three other people have been injured.

A shooting in Oakland early Saturday morning left one person dead and three others injured, an Oakland police officer said.

The four victims were found shot in the 1600 block of 28th Avenue after the shooting was reported at 3:51 a.m., police said.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene while the other three victims were transported to a hospital. Their condition was not known Saturday morning.

Police are also investigating two unexplained deaths reported early Friday morning and late Thursday night, police said.

At 6:46 a.m. on Friday, a person was found unresponsive in the 300 block of 10th Street. Oakland police homicide investigators responded to the scene.

On Thursday at 9:21 p.m. a person was found dead in a residence in the 3300 block of Market Street. Homicide investigators responded.
