Body Found Near Bodega Bay Confirmed As Missing Santa Rosa Man

BODEGA HEAD (CBS SF) - The Sonoma County coroner's office confirmed Monday that the body found in the water off Bodega Head on Friday is that of a Santa Rosa man who fell off a cliff on the Sonoma Coast earlier this month.

Andrew Bader's body was found by a fisherman about a half-mile off Bodega Head around 5:50 a.m., according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

A friend who was with Bader told the Coast Guard that Bader 22, fell off a cliff around 5:45 p.m. on June 9.

The Coast Guard and a Sonoma County sheriff's helicopter searched for Bader on June 9 and 10.

The time of Bader's death is unknown, but he is listed as being found at 7 a.m. on June 22, a coroner's office spokeswoman said.

An autopsy is scheduled for this afternoon.
