Coroner Identifies Body Found Floating Off Point Reyes

POINT REYES (CBS SF) – The Marin County coroner’s office has identified a man whose body was pulled from the water at a Point Reyes beach on Saturday as 72-year-old Rim K. Lee, of Rodeo.

The Marin County Fire Department received a report of a man in the water near McClure’s Beach around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Battalion Chief Mike Giannini said.

The reporting party said the man might have been fishing in the area, Giannini said.

A National Park Service ranger saw a body floating in the water near Elephant Rock about an hour later, Giannini said. The ranger lost sight of the body, but it was later found and recovered.

Coroner’s Sgt. Keith Boyd said he did not have further information about Lee’s death.
