SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS)— Twitter unveiled the first phase of its incremental search feature improvements on Friday, making it easier to restrict which tweets show up when you search.

The incremental improvements include auto complete, similar to using Google, but will also include terms with hash tags.

KCBS’ Tech Report:

These are important, but not overwhelming improvements. One thing that I think will be useful will be results from within people you follow.

For instance,  if you’re looking for a major news topic you can either choose to hear from the entire Twittershpere or just from the people you follow.
