5-Year-Old Shot In Neck, Stable In Oakland Hospital

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A five-year-old was shot in the neck in East Oakland Saturday afternoon but is in stable condition, Oakland police said.

Officers responded to a shooting at 2:43 p.m. in the 1700 block of 50th Avenue to find the child suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

The child was transported to a local hospital and remains in guarded but stable condition.
