2 Injured In Separate Oakland Shootings

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Two separate shootings injured as many victims in Oakland Saturday night, an Oakland police officer said.

The first shooting was reported at 9:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of 51st Avenue in East Oakland, Oakland police Officer J. Moore said.

The victim self-transported to a hospital and arrived in stable condition, Moore said.

Five suspects, including one armed with a firearm, all fled in a vehicle and are at-large, Moore said.

Thirty minutes later another shooting was reported in the other side of Oakland in the 1500 block of Lakeside Drive, according to Moore.

A person driving in a car, the officer said, shot the victim who was traveling in a different vehicle.

The victim was driven by a friend away from the area of the shooting where an ambulance took the victim to the hospital in stable condition, Moore said.

The suspect fled in the vehicle, Moore said.
