SAN JOSE (CBS SF) — An 18-year-old San Jose man is in jail Thursday after being arrested on suspicion of shooting another man near the intersection of Cadillac Drive and South Winchester Boulevard on Tuesday.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3100 block of Cadillac Drive shortly after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and found a 25-year-old San Jose man who had been shot at least once, police said.
The man was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police arrested Julio Cesar Vasquez near the scene of Tuesday’s crime at 9:38 p.m. Wednesday after identifying him as the suspect in what they called a gang-motivated shooting.
Vasquez was booked into jail on suspicion of attempted murder, possession of controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
