Bomb Squad Evacuates SF Apartment Building, Closes Streets Over Suspicious Items

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Suspicious items that were reported inside an apartment building in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood Friday morning were deemed harmless, police said.

The Police Department's bomb squad evacuated an apartment building in the 600 block of Jones Street to further investigate the items.

The approximately 75 residents who were evacuated were able to return to their homes and regular traffic had resumed, police said.
