Roads Reopened After Fire At Vacant Walnut Creek Restaurant
WALNUT CREEK (CBS SF) -- Roads that were closed for several hours Saturday morning after a fire broke out at a vacant restaurant in Walnut Creek have reopened, police and fire officials said.
Fire crews knocked down the one-alarm fire at a vacant Walnut Creek restaurant located at 2211 N. Main Street. The fire was reported at 4:30 a.m.
The fire was under control by 6:30 a.m., however fire crews remained at the vacant building as of 9:30 a.m., according to fire officials.
No injuries from the fire were reported.
Police had shut down nearby streets. The southbound lanes of both North Main Street and North California Boulevard were closed at Parkside Drive.
