Walnut Creek Man Jailed For Indecent Exposure, Molesting Student

WALNUT CREEK (CBS SF) -- Police arrested a 39-year-old man Thursday on suspicion of lewd conduct with a minor after trespassing onto the property of a religious school in Walnut Creek Wednesday morning.

Walnut Creek resident Darryl Allen was arrested for indecent exposure, conducting a lewd act with a child under 14 and annoying/molesting a child under 18, according to police.

Police initially responded to Walnut Creek Christian Academy at 2336 Buena Vista Ave., Wednesday morning after receiving a report of a trespasser on school grounds.

Officers searched the area but did not find any suspects, police said.

The next day, school officials and police reviewed video footage from the school security cameras, which showed a male suspect committing a lewd act in the presence of a juvenile before she ran away, according to police.

School officials assisted with the investigation and detectives were able to identify a suspect who lived near the school, police said.

Detectives contacted Allen near his residence, placed him under arrest and took him into custody.

Allen was transported to Martinez Detention Facility and is being held on $145,000 bail, police said.
