DANVILLE (CBS/AP) — Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan was in Fresno Saturday night at a fundraising dinner. He made two stops earlier in the day in the San Francisco Bay area.
Ryan arrived in the San Francisco Bay area Saturday morning as part of the candidate’s West Coast fundraising tour.
The Wisconsin congressman began the day at the home of former 49er Brent Jones in Danville where he attended a private breakfast fundraiser.
Video showed Ryan standing on an outside terrace of home chatting with supporters and posing for pictures.
After the morning stop in Danville, Ryan visited the Google headquarters in Mountain View. There he participated in a video chat with campaign volunteers in 4 swing states.
Finally, the GOP nominee attended a fundraising dinner Saturday night at the Fresno Convention Center’s Valdez Hall.
Tickets for the Fresno event cost $1,000 per person and up to $25,000 per couple for a private reception.
Several groups protested outside the center.
After the stops in Northern California, Ryan is scheduled to head to fundraisers in Portland, Oregon and Seattle on Monday.
