'Fifty Shades' Author Visits SF For Book Signing

 
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF/AP) - Hundreds gathered at Books Inc at Opera Plaza in San Francisco on Tuesday to meet author E.L. James of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy. The books, which have become a favorite among women, have sold 40 million copies. According to James' blog site, her stop in San Francisco is part of a promotional tour to support the trilogy.

Vintage Books previously announced that the British writer also included two U.S. Pacific Northwest hotspots featured in her erotic trilogy: Seattle and Portland. James appeared at Seattle's Third Place Books on September 22nd and at Portland's Powell's Books on September 24th.

The next stop for James is Los Angeles.
