Standoff In Palo Alto Neighborhood Ends Without Incident
PALO ALTO (CBS SF) - A standoff that partially shut down a Palo Alto neighborhood ended Monday afternoon when police coaxed an "unstable subject" out of a home on Klamath Lane, police said.
Officers had surrounded a home in the 3400 block of Klamath Lane, near U.S. Highway 101, where the person was holed up, police said.
Three nearby buildings were evacuated, and police shut down the 1000 block of nearby East Meadow Circle.
Police said shortly after 5 p.m. that the subject had been detained after negotiators coaxed him out of the home.
Police have not yet released further details about the incident.
