Search Suspended For 2 Boaters Missing Off San Mateo Coast
HALF MOON BAY (CBS / AP) -- The Coast Guard has suspended its search after two people disappeared when the 18-foot boat they were fishing in capsized off the San Mateo County coast.
Coast Guard spokesman Thomas McKenzie says the Coast Guard called of the search around 3:30 p.m. Monday.
The boat was carrying four people when it capsized near Pigeon Point south of Half Moon Bay a day earlier. Two people were able to swim to shore while the other two disappeared.
The missing boaters, who were not wearing life vests, have not been identified.
