Decomposing Body Found In Parked Car In Oakland
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A decomposing body wrapped in cloth was found in the back of a car near an Oakland recreation center Sunday, according to police.
Just after 5 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious circumstance involving a parked vehicle in the 2400 block of Ritchie Street in the city's Eastmont neighborhood, Officer J. Moore said.
The location is next the Arroyo Viejo Recreation Center.
Officer Cynthia Espinoza said the body appeared to have been in the car for a while.
Police were investigating the cause of death and the victim's identity.
