Arrest Made In San Jose Murder
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A San Jose man has been arrested in connection with the murder of 52-year-old Hugo Humberto Hernandez last week, police said.
Police identified the suspect as 30-year-old Curtis Kilgore.
On Oct. 3, at about 8:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a fight on South Second Street between East San Fernando Street and East Santa Clara Street. The area is dotted with restaurants, bars, and a hookah lounge.
Officers found Hernandez, a San Jose resident, unconscious and not breathing. They performed CPR and took him to the hospital, where he died at 9:55 p.m., police said.
Kilgore was arrested the following day.
The killing marked San Jose's 35th homicide of 2012.
