Man Gets Face Slashed During San Jose Bicycle Shop Burglary

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - Police are searching for a man suspected of using a knife to slash a man's face after breaking into a San Jose bicycle shop early Saturday morning.

The 55-year-old victim was at Faber's Cyclery, located at 702 South First St. near Interstate Highway 280, between midnight and 1 a.m. when he heard noises in the back of the building, police said.

The victim confronted the suspect, who he believed had broken into the building, police said.

The suspect then attacked the victim with a large knife, slashing him in the face several times, police said.

The victim was transported to the hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening.

Police said no arrests had been made in the case yet.
