MODESTO, (CBS/AP) -- Police say a group of Modesto bank employees are OK after a customer deposited a packet of money wrapped in a paper towel that ended up sending six employees to a hospital.

It hasn't been determined what was on the money, or the towel, but when the employees at the Chase Bank branch started experiencing itching and rashes a hazardous material crews responded to the bank around 3:30 p.m. Friday.

The crews set up make-shift showers in the parking lot and rinsed the employees off.

Modesto police Officer Scott Nelson says the money that was deposited from the customer has been sent to a state crime lab for testing.

Nelson says police planned to interview the customer who made the deposit, but no arrests have been made.
